Safeguarding Policy

1. Purpose

Warzone Bristol Tabletop Gaming is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals participating in our hobby sessions. We aim to ensure that all members, particularly children and adults who may be at risk, are protected from harm while engaging in activities at our club. Luke Entwistle & Jordan Griffin are our designated safeguarding leads, ensuring these standards are maintained at all times.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all members, volunteers, committee members, and visitors of Warzone Bristol Tabletop Gaming. It covers all club-sanctioned events, whether held at our primary venue in Ram Hill or during external competitions and hobby meetups.

3. Key Principles

  • Safety First: The welfare of the individual is paramount.Equality: Everyone, regardless of age, disability, gender, or background, has an equal right to protection.Transparency: We maintain open communication and clear procedures for reporting concerns.Respect: All participants are treated with dignity and fairness within the gaming community.

4. Types of Abuse

We remain vigilant in recognizing various forms of potential harm, including but not limited to Physical Abuse, Emotional Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Neglect, and Bullying (including online harassment). We foster an environment where spotting and acting on these signs is prioritized to protect our community members.

5. Roles & Responsibilities

Luke Entwistle & Jordan Griffin serve as the designated point of contact for all safeguarding matters. All club members and volunteers have a duty to stay informed about this policy and to immediately report any concerns regarding the well-being of a fellow gamer or visitor.

6. Code of Conduct

At Warzone Bristol Tabletop Gaming, we expect all participants to adhere to a code of conduct that promotes a positive gaming culture. This includes using appropriate language, respecting personal space, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for painters and players of all skill levels.

7. Reporting Concerns

If you have any concerns or witness behavior that contradicts this policy, please contact Luke Entwistle & Jordan Griffin at warzonebristolttg@gmail.com or approach them personally during club sessions. All reports will be taken seriously and investigated with care.

8. Confidentiality

Warzone Bristol Tabletop Gaming maintains strict confidentiality regarding safeguarding reports. Information will only be shared on a 'need-to-know' basis with relevant committee members or legal authorities when required for the protection of individuals.

9. Monitoring & Review

This policy is a live document and is reviewed annually by Luke Entwistle & Jordan Griffin and the club committee to reflect changes in legislation and club activities. The last review was conducted to ensure our community remains the safest possible space for tabletop gaming enthusiasts in Bristol.
